Omar Otto

Omar was born around April 21, 2024, and weighs about 5 pounds. He is teeny tiny and just about as cute as they come. Omar is shy but quickly becomes your best friend. He loves other dogs and does well with the other animals in his foster home, including other dogs, cats, and a parrot. However, he will at times chase the submissive cat in the home; if you have a cat in your home, it will need to be dog-savvy. Omar still has some fear and will run and hide when the house gets overly rambunctious. He bonds intensely once he feels comfortable and doesn't leave his foster mom's side. Omar rides beautifully in the car and is becoming more social.

Ideal Home

A home with no small children would be best due to his initial shyness and tendency to hide when the house gets rambunctious. A dog-savvy cat is a must if you have feline companions.

Ongoing Health

Omar has bilateral luxating patellas but gets around fine and can jump up on couches and beds with ease. He may require pain medication in the future. Please speak with your vet if you have any questions about luxating patellas before applying.

Training & Support

You will have potty training to do. Potty pads are often suggested for tiny dogs with tiny bladders.

Transporation

Omar is currently located in Cattaraugus County and can be transported to most areas of NY, NJ, and CT.
