SAGE

Meet Sage! This adorable 3-1/2-year-old American Bully might be a bit bigger, but she's convinced she's a 45 lb Boston Terrier! We affectionately call her our "cartoon dog" or "45 lb Chihuahua" because her funny antics are sure to bring a smile to your face every day. Sage was rescued from a backyard breeder and, at the time of her rescue, was recovering from a difficult C-section that led to a serious infection and a positive heartworm diagnosis. She's now fully recovered, cured of heartworm, and has undergone a hysterectomy. Despite her past, Sage is a loving companion who enjoys snuggling with her foster dad, playing with the Boston and French Bulldogs in her foster home, and even sneaking into bed for a cozy night's sleep. She's a smart girl who knows to go to the door to ask for potty breaks and is fascinated by the UPS truck! Sage has done well with smaller dogs, shows no signs of food aggression or excessive barking, and only chews on her designated toys. Her interactions with larger dogs and cats are currently unknown.

Ideal Home

Sage would thrive in a loving home with owners who work from home, have a fenced yard for playtime with her humans or other dogs, and are ready to provide her with plenty of nutritious food.

Ongoing Health

Sage has fully recovered from a past heartworm infection and has undergone a hysterectomy.

Training & Support

Sage is house-trained and doesn't exhibit chewing issues beyond her toys. She is good with smaller dogs and shows no signs of food aggression or excessive barking.
