ESSEX

Essex is a charming little guy who's as close to a Cockapoo as you can get, confirmed by his DNA! He's approximately 5 years old and weighs about 10 pounds. Essex is a master of self-entertainment, happily playing with his toys for hours. He also loves to zoom around the yard! He's a confident pup who enjoys a good romp with other dogs, though he can be a bit boisterous and alpha. He'd do best as the sole dog or with a very laid-back canine companion. Essex is a smart cookie who walks well on a leash and is mostly house-trained, though he does have a tendency to occasionally mark other dogs' beds. His coat was very matted when he was rescued and he was shaved down, but it's growing in beautifully now. He would be a wonderful addition to a mature, experienced home.

Ideal Home

Essex would thrive in a home with a mature owner who understands his alpha personality. He would do best as an only dog or with one very laid-back canine friend. He is not suitable for homes with children under 8 years old.

Ongoing Health

Essex's coat is growing in beautifully after being shaved due to matting. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Essex is mostly house-trained but may occasionally mark other dogs' beds. He is a precocious and alpha dog who needs an experienced owner to guide him.
