Duque is a handsome 4-year-old English Shepherd mix who weighs around 42 lbs. His striking black and white coat is long and thick, giving him a truly magnificent appearance. Duque is already potty trained and leash trained, making him a well-behaved companion for walks and for relaxing at home. He's a friendly fellow who adapts easily to new people and environments, and he absolutely adores receiving pets and spending quality time with his family. Duque's favorite activity is going for walks and staying active, so he's looking for an equally enthusiastic family to share adventures with.
Ideal Home
Duque would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard. He needs a family committed to providing him with plenty of outdoor activity and companionship.

Training & Support
While Duque is potty and leash trained, it's important to understand that as a rescued dog, he may require an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are key to helping him build trust and feel secure in his new home. He would benefit from a family with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help him reach his full potential. Please note that he is not house-trained.

- If it's a potential match, we will schedule a call or video chat to introduce you to Duque and conduct a virtual home tour.
- We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
- Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover essential veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, and food.
Transportation
Duque is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Our partnered transport company collects adopted pets in Mexico and escorts them across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets are delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. You will receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, including photos, videos, and estimated arrival times. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
