Gigi is a approximately 3-year-old, 40 lb. female Staffordshire Terrier mix. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and was in rough shape when rescued. After being taken in and spayed, she had complications requiring hospitalization due to coagulation problems and a weak hind end. Despite her difficult start, Gigi is a survivor and is now ready for a loving forever home! She is described as friendly, affectionate, loyal, gentle, playful, smart, protective, brave, curious, independent, funny, athletic, quiet, dignified, loving, sweet, joyful, beautiful, mellow, caring, cheerful, pampered, obedient, patient, cuddly, devoted, sensitive, eager to please, silly, snuggly, entertaining, warm, and intelligent. She is also dog-friendly.
Ideal Home
Gigi would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. She needs a family experienced with her breed, patient and understanding of the needs of a rescue animal, and with a background in dog behavior and training.
Ongoing Health
Gigi is spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Gigi is not house-trained. It is important for adopters to understand that rescued animals may need extra time, patience, and education to learn new behaviors and integrate into a new home.
