Mickie is a sweet, intelligent, and social Chihuahua mix who is approximately 2 years and 7 months old and weighs 18.7 lbs. He enjoys being around people and other dogs, and while he may be a little reserved at first, he quickly warms up and becomes very affectionate. Mickie loves to run, play, go for walks, and spend quality time with his humans. He is obedient, playful, and eager to bond and learn, making him a loyal companion. Mickie is crate-trained and does well with a routine. He gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women.

Training & Support

Mickie is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may need an adjustment period and may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine are crucial for building trust and helping Mickie feel secure.

If it's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
1-2 references will be contacted.
Upon approval, an adoption contract will be signed, and the adoption fee will be collected prior to your pet's arrival.

Transporation

Mickie is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a transport fee of $400 USD. Transport trips are organized 3-4 times per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. A dedicated team from Montana will collect adopted pets in Mexico. For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. Real-time updates, including photos and videos of your pet's journey, feeding schedules, and ETA, will be provided in a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
