Shafer

Shafer is a handsome young gentleman with a unique look – a doodle face on a basset body! He's 100% sweet and ready to find his forever family. Shafer can be a little timid when meeting new people or in new environments, but a soft, gentle voice and a bit of encouragement will help him warm up and show you his trusting nature. He's looking for a patient adopter who understands his need to decompress and adjust.

Ideal Home

Shafer will need a physically fenced yard to explore safely. He may do best with a family who has some experience with dogs, especially those with similar temperaments.

Ongoing Health

Shafer is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Shafer is not yet house-trained and will need consistent guidance and positive reinforcement. He is recommended for homes with children aged 10 and older, pending observed interactions. While he hasn't met cats, he may do well with another dog pending a meet and greet.
