Little is a charming 2-year-old who found himself in our care due to circumstances beyond his control. The exact story of how he became paralyzed is unclear, but he's now in a loving foster home and ready to find his forever family. Little has some feeling in his legs and can manage his own potty needs. He'll soon have a new, better cart to help him get around. Discussions with the vet are ongoing regarding neutering to prevent future health issues. Little can be a bit shy with new people initially, but his sweet personality quickly shines through, winning over everyone he meets. He's a happy, active boy who doesn't let his disability slow him down, moving with surprising speed on his strong front legs.
Ideal Home
Little would thrive in a home that is comfortable with a dog who uses a wheelchair. His ideal family will be diligent about keeping him clean and ensuring he doesn't injure his back legs while dragging. Someone strong enough to help lift his 50lbs into his cart would also be a great asset. He needs a serious dog lover who understands and accepts that accidents can happen. A home with older children, ideally teenagers, would be best.
Ongoing Health
Little is currently paralyzed in his hind legs. He has some feeling and is able to go potty on his own. Neutering is being discussed with the vet.
Training & Support
While Little is generally happy and active, his adoptive family should be prepared for occasional accidents and be committed to keeping him clean and preventing injury to his hind legs.
