Scout is a resilient and sweet 9-month-old beagle mix who, after a challenging start, is learning that the world can be a safe and positive place. He's made remarkable progress and is ready to continue his journey in a loving home. Scout enjoys gentle indoor play and is blossoming into an affectionate and curious companion, seeking comfort from those he trusts. While he's still a bit shy about walks and new experiences, his willingness to learn and his ability to bounce back are truly impressive!

Scout thrives in a quiet, stable home environment where he can build his confidence at his own pace. He'll do best with a patient, compassionate adopter experienced with shy or sensitive dogs. A low-traffic household and a calm atmosphere will help him feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Scout is in good physical health and has received veterinary health checks, is spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed.

Training & Support

Scout will benefit from patient, reward-based training focused on building trust and positive associations with new experiences. A predictable routine, calm environment, and gentle encouragement are key. He doesn't need high levels of physical activity but will thrive with consistent, low-pressure interactions and enrichment activities. He is looking for an experienced adopter who understands shy or under-socialized dogs.
