Truffles

Truffles is a loving, friendly, and sweet 4-5 year old pit bull mix, weighing around 38lbs. Despite the scars from a past embedded collar, she finds comfort in her stuffed animals, often seen carrying one around. Truffles is potty and crate trained, eager to meet new people, and loves to be included. She has done well with her foster's chihuahuas, but can be unsure about other dogs due to a past attack. She is food motivated, making her easy to train, and responds well to positive reinforcement. Truffles is working on her leash manners, as she can get over-excited when seeing other dogs.

Ideal Home

A quiet, low-density area in DC/MD/NoVa would be ideal for Truffles, where she can feel safe and comfortable.

Ongoing Health

Truffles bears permanent scars from an embedded collar, but this does not affect her health.

Training & Support

Truffles is food motivated and eager to please, responding very well to positive reinforcement training. She is working on her leash walking skills and can be redirected with treats. She would be an excellent student with continued training.
