Chiquis

Chiquis is a beautiful German Shepherd who has had a long, confusing trip back to us, and she’s handled it with so much grace. She was found abandoned at an apartment complex in North Dakota, and once we learned what happened, we arranged for her to come back to us. We can’t imagine what it felt like for her to be left behind so far from where she started, but Chiquis is already showing us she's ready to put the past behind her and move on. Like many German Shepherds, Chiquis notices the world around her and takes things in with those wise, watchful eyes. She appreciates soft bedding, cozy blankets, and we've recently learned she loves water! We set up a baby pool, and she provided the entertainment. It was so fun to watch her splash and play! Chiquis has lived with other dogs before, and we'd be happy to help with a meet and greet if you have a dog at home. Chiquis deserves someone who sees her for who she is: a smart, lovely shepherd who has been through a lot and is still choosing to be gentle. She’s ready for someone to choose her back.

Ideal Home

Chiquis would do well in a home with other dogs but is looking for a feline-free environment. She has also done well with children.

Chiquis is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
