Astro (27lb)

Meet Astro! This handsome 2-year-old, 25lb Heeler mix is ready to find his forever family. Astro was found all by himself in a rough neighborhood in Texas. Thankfully, a kind volunteer with Kind Spirits took him in and fostered him with her other dogs. Now that he's fully vetted and we've gotten to know his wonderful personality, he's eager to start his new life. Astro is a smart and eager-to-please pup who loves to be your number one! He's motivated by treats, toys, and his humans. He's quiet, cuddly, and enjoys being a good boy. Astro is already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, making him a great companion for many adventures.

Ideal Home

Astro is a highly food, toy, and treat-motivated dog who thrives on pleasing his people. He's currently living with many other dogs and has shown he can get along well with them. However, Astro does have a bit of a "little man" complex, fitting for his mix, and may occasionally nip at male dogs when competing for treats or attention.

Training & Support

Astro is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He is eager to please and enjoys learning. His only noted behavioral quirk is a tendency to nip at male dogs when competing for resources, so he would likely do best in a home where this can be managed with positive reinforcement and clear guidance.

Transporation

Astro is currently located in Portage, WI. We welcome out-of-state adopters and can arrange private transport with K9 Delivery LLC for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
