Meerkat (Safari litter)

Meerkat is an absolutely adorable, red-headed puppy from our Safari litter! She's estimated to be between 45-75 lbs when fully grown, with a mix of German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, and Bully breeds in her DNA. Born around March 3rd, Meerkat is smart, super sweet, and already doing wonderfully with the resident foster dogs. She's ready to embark on new adventures with her forever family!

Ideal Home

Meerkat is good with dogs, cats, and kids. As a puppy, she will need a home committed to providing plenty of training and socialization.

Ongoing Health

The Safari litter had a rough start and was treated for Parvo with Monoclonal Antibody treatment. They also received early treatment for Ehrlichia, a tick-borne illness, with doxycycline. Meerkat is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, including rabies.

Training & Support

Meerkat is currently learning puppy basics like crate training and housebreaking. Remember, puppies are a big commitment! They need consistent training, especially with housebreaking, and will have accidents and chew on things as they adjust. The 3-3-3 rule is a great guideline for helping your new puppy settle in: the first three days for adjusting, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training.

Transporation

Meerkat is currently in a foster home in Snohomish County, Washington. We have an adoption radius of approximately 300 miles, which includes the Portland, OR area and Vancouver, BC. Adopters must be able to pick up their new dog in Snohomish County, WA.
