Rowdy

My name is Rowdy, and I'm a 2-3 year old, 68 lb bundle of love with a touch of husky howl and Great Pyrenees fluff! I'm a 75% American Pit Bull mix who thrives on affection and wants nothing more than to be your adorable shadow. My favorite things include snuggles, the softest ears you'll ever pet, and playing soccer with older kids. I also love my evening walks, followed by a deep sleep in my own bed in my favorite human's room.

Ideal Home

I'm a wonderful companion for a family with older children. Because I can get a bit competitive with other male dogs and have a strong prey drive, I need to be the only dog in the home and would do best in a home without smaller animals. I love being the center of attention and will velcro myself to you, so a home where I can be your constant companion is ideal!

Ongoing Health

I'm generally healthy and up-to-date on all my vaccinations.

Training & Support

I'm a smart cookie and already know how to "wait" at doors, "sit," and "lay down." I also understand "leave it," though my prey drive means I need a little extra patience in certain situations. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and don't chew on personal belongings. I do need to be reminded to get off the furniture, but I listen right away!
