Meet Bonito!
Bonito is a four-year-old, 11-pound terrier mix with a distinguished gray coat and an old-soul personality. While he may look like a wise little gentleman, he's still a young dog who simply prefers a slower pace of life. Bonito's favorite activities include relaxing in the backyard, keeping an eye on the birds, and soaking up the sunshine. He's happy to join you for a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, but he's not interested in long hikes or marathon adventures. This easygoing boy is the definition of low-maintenance. Bonito is both crate-trained and potty-trained, making him an easy addition to a busy household. After a short walk, he's perfectly content to curl up in your lap for a movie night or lounge quietly by your side while you relax. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys life's simple pleasures and doesn't demand constant activity, Bonito may be the perfect match for you.
Ideal Home
Bonito would thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace of life. He's not interested in long hikes or marathon adventures, preferring leisurely strolls and relaxing in the backyard.
Ongoing Health
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
Training & Support
Bonito is already crate-trained and potty-trained, making him a low-maintenance addition to your home.

- An application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home.
- An application does not obligate you to adopt.
- Due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
Transporation
Bonito is being fostered in East Brunswick, New Jersey. We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
