You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Two year old Mabel is a sweet-natured, affectionate handsome female who thrives on attention and cuddles from her humans. She loves tummy rubs and going for short walks where she behaves well and is easy to handle on a leash. She is spayed and potty trained, but had a couple of “accidents” when she arrived at her foster home. Once she adjusted and received lots of attention and affection, that behavior stopped. Mabel is crate trained and reportedly does great with older children. She attached quickly to her new foster mom, but is initially shy around other humans and fearful of other dogs. She’s a sweet gal who may grow in confidence as she settles into a permanent home. She loves zoomies and playing though doesn’t quite understand that “fetch” means returning the ball not just chasing it! Her prior owner was a single mother of 3 children as well as a full time nursing student and sadly could not give Mabel the attention she needs. She reported that Mabel would grab food off a counter, but the current foster mom hasn’t observed the counter grabbing behavior. Mabel was given a rug in a corner of the kitchen and knows to go sit there during meal times, tho’ she has to be reminded to do so. Mostly, she just likes to keep her human in sight and will follow her around the house. Mabel thrives on attention and affection and would do best in a household where she is the only dog, or possibly with another low key doggie companion, and her humans have the time and energy to devote to her.
