Etta

Etta is a smart and independent girl who was a stray for about a week before coming to us. While she initially found shelter life a bit challenging, she's now ready to find her forever home with a family who understands and appreciates her unique spirit. She embodies many classic shepherd traits, showing independence and intelligence. On the surface, she might seem a little aloof, but beneath that, she's deeply connected and incredibly loyal to her people. Etta is likely to be protective and a bit wary of strangers, so potential adopters are encouraged to visit and spend time with her on several occasions to build a bond.

Etta is a joy to be with and enjoys many activities! She walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and enjoys a good game of fetch. She can also entertain herself with a squeaky ball or have a blast splashing in a creek. She tolerates brushing and warm baths well. She's a smart cookie and has already mastered sit, stay, down, wait, and leave it, and she's even working on learning left and right!

Ideal Home

Etta would thrive in a quiet home with experienced shepherd owners. While she can accept other dogs, she would likely appreciate being the only dog in the household.

Ongoing Health

All dogs receive a spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations for rabies, kennel cough, and DH(L)PP. They also have a complete fecal analysis, are treated for internal and external parasites, are heartworm tested and receive heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and are microchipped.

Training & Support

Etta is a quick learner and has mastered several commands. She is working on more advanced cues.
