About Ferb

Ferb is a very sweet, shy, goofy, and playful nugget at around 40lbs! He was a playgroup superstar at the shelter and immediately got along with his foster's dogs. Ferb would love a dog to play with and would probably do best with another dog around to make him feel his bravest. He has the cutest zoomies and snorts when zooming! Ferb has downy soft fur that is impossible to not pet. He is also freshly bathed and is very quiet, only whining once or twice in the crate before settling down to sleep or chew on a bone. When he's not playing or trying to get your dog to play, he entertains himself with toys. Ferb seems to be about 90% potty trained and needs an opportunity to go outside immediately after leaving the crate. He goes very quickly once outside. Ferb is a shy guy and seems like he had a rough life before finding his way to the shelter. It's important to keep a good hold on the leash in case a new, loud sound spooks him and he tries to hide. Ferb has done great with stairs and getting comfortable with new situations, especially if he has a doggy friend with him and also if there is treats. He's done well meeting new people, especially with treats tossed on the ground and letting him approach at his own pace. Ferb is small and looks like a sausage on tiny legs when he's walking – it's very cute!

Ideal Home

Ferb would do best in a home with another dog to help him feel his bravest. He should be in a home with adults or teenagers, as he can be shy and is still unsure of the world. He needs a secured 6ft fence if he is to be alone in the yard, otherwise he needs to be kept on a leash or tie-down.

Ongoing Health

No ongoing health issues to report. Ferb has been freshly bathed.

Training & Support

Ferb is about 90% potty trained and needs to go outside immediately after leaving his crate. He can be shy and may be spooked by loud noises, so keeping a good hold on his leash is important. He learns well with treats and a doggy friend.
