Benji is an 8-month-old Havanese Mix who weighs 11lbs. He's a small pup with a big personality, and he thrives on being the center of attention. Benji loves to be near his people, whether he's snuggled on a lap or following you around the house. He knows his toys and enjoys a good game of fetch or tug-of-war – he's an expert fetcher! While Benji does bark, he's quick to settle down once he knows all is well. When guests arrive, he'll bark until he's sure they're friendly, and then he'll be all wags and kisses, eager to welcome them. He might be a little shy at first, but it won't take long for him to be happily wagging his tail, begging for attention, and following you everywhere. Benji is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. His foster family is still learning his potty signals, and while he usually holds it, occasional accidents can happen. He has not had any marking incidents in his foster home. Benji is a playful puppy with plenty of energy and has enjoyed learning alongside his 80lb foster brother, whom he is not intimidated by and plays very well with. He's been a wonderful puppy and will be dearly missed by his foster family, who are excited for him to find his forever family.
Ideal Home
Benji would do well in a home with children aged 10 and up. His compatibility with cats is unknown.
Ongoing Health
All adoption fees include spay/neuter when age appropriate, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchip.
Training & Support
Benji is still learning to communicate his potty needs consistently, so his new family will need to continue working on potty training with him. He also barks when guests arrive but settles quickly.

Transporation
Benji is located in Illinois. We can potentially transport him to a nearby state for adoption.
