Mattie

Mattie is a sweet 11-year-old Poodle mix who weighs about 10 pounds. He's a little lamb who loves to follow his people around, always hoping for a tasty snack! Mattie came to us in pretty rough shape, but thanks to the loving care of his foster family and attention to his medical needs, he's blossomed into a brand-new dog. He's a little hard of hearing, but he's so attentive to his surroundings that you wouldn't even notice! He is very food motivated and loves his naps. Mattie enjoys exploring the yard and the house at his own pace and doesn't require leash walks to get his exercise. He's also comfortable being left alone and would likely do well with cat friends.

Ideal Home

Mattie would do well in a home with or without other dogs. He seems like he would get along well with cats too. He enjoys exploring and would be happy in a home where he can wander around the yard and house.

Ongoing Health

Mattie is on inexpensive daily medications for Cushing's disease and low thyroid. He's a champ at taking his medicine!

Training & Support

Mattie is super food motivated, which can be a great asset for training! He loves his naps and doesn't require leash walks, getting his exercise through exploring his surroundings.
