Have you ever looked at a puppy and thought... "That has to be a tiny bear."? Because that's exactly what happens when you meet Tigger! This chunky little boy looks like someone took a fluffy little polar bear, added the cutest brown bear patches, and somehow made the whole thing puppy-sized. Between his unique coloring, his sweet little face, and those irresistibly squishy puppy proportions, he's about as close to a real-life teddy bear as they come. He's still just a teeny tiny baby discovering the world one day at a time, and getting to watch his little personality begin to emerge has been nothing short of adorable. Tigger is approximately 1 month old, currently weighs around 4 lbs, and we believe he may be a Lab mix with perhaps some Chihuahua mixed in. Mom is about 18 lbs, so we do know this litter has some small genetics mixed in! As with any rescue animal, breed is always a bit of a mystery, but one thing we know for sure is that Tigger is 100% adorable. Like any young puppy, Tigger's personality is still developing as he grows, but we're already getting little glimpses of the wonderful dog he's becoming. He enjoys wrestling with his siblings, happily joins in when it's time to play, and has already decided that just about anything can become a toy if you use enough imagination. One of our favorite things about Tigger, though, is that he seems to have a wonderfully thoughtful side. After joining in on the fun, he's often happy to sit back for a moment and simply watch everything going on around him. We have a feeling he's going to grow into one of those easygoing, distinguished gentlemen who enjoys being part of the action without always feeling like he has to be the center of it. Every day brings new experiences, new discoveries, and another opportunity for his personality to continue blossoming. One of the best parts about adopting a puppy this young is getting to watch them grow into the dog they're meant to become.
Ideal Home
Tigger will need a family that's ready to commit to all the time, patience, training, and socialization that come with raising a puppy.
Ongoing Health
All vetting includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Establishing routines, providing structure, setting healthy boundaries, and introducing him to the world through positive experiences will all help him grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog. We require our adopters to begin crate training as soon as their new puppy comes home, as it plays an important role in potty training, learning good habits, managing puppy energy, and helping them feel safe and secure.
