Arky is a handsome and energetic Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix who was born in August 2019. He's a friendly guy who enjoys meeting new people after a brief introduction and is also happy to coexist with cats and dogs. Arky's current owner needs to rehome him through no fault of his own, as his apartment living situation doesn't provide him with enough space to play and the owner's health issues prevent them from giving him the attention he needs.
Ideal Home
Arky would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he has plenty of room to run and play. Because of his size and strength, he would do best in a home with older children, ideally aged 10 and up. He also needs a family that works from home or doesn't leave him alone for long hours, as he doesn't do well with extended periods of solitude.
Ongoing Health
Arky's tummy can be a little sensitive, and his new family will be provided with guidance on foods that work well for him.
Training & Support
Arky is crate trained, but he can be destructive with blankets or pillows inside his crate, so it's best to avoid those. He knows some commands but is still learning to listen consistently. He would benefit from continued training with patience, energy, and lots of love from his new person.
