Sweet Bucee is a 2-3 year old, 57lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is as charming as his name! He's a chill, confident, smart, and happy boy in search of his forever home. Bucee loves to greet new people and dogs with joyful barks. As with most rescue dogs, he needs a little time to adjust to a new environment. He gets along famously with female dogs and most male dogs. Bucee is energetic, with medium to high energy levels, but he's easily trainable and calm indoors. He absolutely needs a backyard where he can romp and play with his chew toys. An active adopter would be ideal, as Bucee needs to burn off energy to avoid boredom. His foster mom crates him at night, and he sleeps soundly in there. Bucee thrives when he has access to chew and mentally stimulating toys.
Bucee was found abandoned in Houston. His foster family believes he was previously owned and callously left in a common dumping area before his rescue.
Ideal Home
Bucee would thrive in a home with an active adopter who can provide him with plenty of opportunities to expend his energy. A backyard for him to run and play in is a must.

Bucee is kennel and potty trained. He is known to be dog, cat, and kid-friendly. He loves having access to chew toys and requires mentally stimulating activities.

Bucee is located in Houston, Texas. Transportation is included in the adoption fee and may involve pickup in a nearby town, county, or state. We coordinate with third-party ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for transport updates.
