Hi, I'm Astra!

I'm an affectionate, energetic girl looking for a home to love and be loved. I enjoy walks, toys, exploring new places, and taking in the world around me. I'm a velcro dog, happiest when I'm included in the action, but I also enjoy quiet time with my humans once I've burned off my energy.

My humans tell me that I'm beautiful, but I've got brains, too! For one, I'm making great progress with my house training. In just three days, I learned that outside is the right place to go potty, though sometimes I forget my manners when I get carried away playing. I'm sure we'll get that figured out soon.

Oh! And I've got skills, too! I'm already pretty good at "sit," "down," "watch," and "come." Loose-leash walking and learning how to be alone are up next. I'm very curious about everything, and other dogs, bunnies, and birds all get my undivided attention. I don't resource guard at all, but once I thought my human needed my protection from someone who spent a little too much time trying to get my attention. My human says that "leave it" will be a good skill for me to learn, too. We're all optimistic that I'll continue making speedy progress, because I respond so well to routine, patience, and positive reinforcement. After all, I aim to please!
