Lady Laurel

Lady Laurel ACCT-A-253198 is a sweet and affectionate girl who came to us after being found abandoned and tied up. Despite her difficult start, she remains incredibly loving and enjoys being close to her people. During a day trip, Lady Laurel was a fantastic companion, happily riding in the car, exploring the outdoors, and relaxing with her temporary family. She walks nicely on leash, knows "sit," and takes treats gently. Volunteers consistently describe her as an easy-going and affectionate dog who thrives on human connection.

Ideal Home

Lady Laurel would love a home where she can be close to her people, joining in on adventures and then curling up by your side. She has shown enthusiasm for playing with other dogs and may enjoy a canine companion who matches her playful energy, provided introductions are done thoughtfully. She has shown she can be good with teenagers. She does not like puddles. We are unsure of her feelings on toys, as she has shown no interest during her stay.

Training & Support

Lady Laurel knows "sit" and takes treats gently. She can sometimes become a little overexcited during dog introductions, exhibiting jumping or mounting behaviors, but she responds well to gentle redirection. She also required a treat lure to return to her kennel at the shelter.
