Gustav is a 3½-year-old terrier/Lab mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun! He’s very dog-friendly and thrives in playgroups, where he loves to romp around with his canine pals. His favorite game is pretending to play fetch—he’s all about the chase, even if the “bringing the ball back” part still hasn’t clicked. Gustav is a goofy, chunky boy who adores snacks (maybe a little too much). Interactive toys are his jam… at least until he gets too hangry—then all brain power disappears, and he’ll let you know with dramatic whining and cries of disapproval.
Ideal Home
Gustav thrives in playgroups and enjoys romping with his canine pals. He's a bit of a foodie, so an owner who can manage his love for snacks would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Gustav has no specific health conditions mentioned. For those being picked up at our Angleton, Tx location, the adoption fee includes all vetting: DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping.
Training & Support
Gustav is still working on the "bringing the ball back" part of fetch. He can get hangry, which leads to dramatic whining and cries of disapproval, so owners should be prepared for this. Our goal is to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and just want someone to be understanding with them.

Gustav is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH. This includes predetermined locations and times. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request with financial responsibility on the adopted family. For those being picked up at our Angleton, Tx location, there is a fee of $75.
