Oscar is a tiny, white, and extra fluffy 3-year-old boy who is learning the ways of the world. He's estimated to be a Maltese Chihuahua mix, weighing in at about 15 pounds of pure lap dog. Oscar is a special boy who takes his time earning trust, but once he loves you, he falls hard and is incredibly loyal. He loves to snuggle up on soft surfaces and is happy to be your morning coffee or sunset companion. Oscar thrives on routine and calmness, and his gentle nature is one of his best qualities.
Ideal Home
Oscar would do best in a home with a yard, as he loves spending time outdoors. He would also do well in a home with older children who can understand and respect his need for gentle interactions and his preference to take things slow. While we haven't seen him with cats, we believe he would be okay with them due to his size, though he may want to play eventually.
Ongoing Health
Oscar is up-to-date on all his vetting, including vaccinations and preventative treatments.
Training & Support
Oscar is a well-behaved boy who is trusted to free roam in the house and sleeps in his foster's bed. He is gentle with other dogs, even those much older than him, and takes corrections well. He enjoys playing with his foster siblings and shares food amicably. We have trainers on staff who assess and modify behavior as needed, providing individualized plans to help prepare dogs for their future families.
