Meet Delilah! This adorable pit mix is approximately 1 year old and weighs around 34 pounds. Delilah was found as a stray in the Memphis area and brought to a shelter. Our volunteers were so taken with her sweet, puppy-eyed gaze that they knew they had to bring her into our rescue, especially when they learned she was running out of time. Now being fostered in the South, Delilah is eager to take a freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to find her forever family. She's described as a "cute little potato" – a truly sweet, loving, and patient girl! Delilah is a star in the car and enjoys any adventure, big or small. She even charmed everyone at an adoption event on a busy college campus, happily accepting attention from all who wanted to snuggle and remaining calm when touched all over. In her foster home, Delilah gets along with many other dogs and has even taken on a surrogate mother role to three orphaned puppies, whom she dotes on! We're confident she'd make a wonderful addition to any family. While she wasn't a huge fan of bath time, she remained calm and didn't try to escape. She sleeps soundly by her foster's bed each night, showing her laid-back and friendly nature. Delilah is currently house-trained to a doggy door, but may need a little patience as she adjusts to a new routine.
