Meet Peppermint Patti, or Peppy as she's affectionately known! This vibrant 2-year-old Pittie mix is eager to leave her past behind and embrace her bright future. Peppy's journey to finding her forever home has been a testament to her resilience. She was found as a stray, quite underweight, and in need of entropion surgery. Her recovery has been a slow and steady process, and it's been wonderful to see her blossom every step of the way! She's now up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, on preventatives, and learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cherished as part of a family. Peppy is currently thriving in a foster home with two children (ages 8 and 6) and a 9-year-old male pit mix, proving she's a social butterfly!
Ideal Home
Peppy would do best with an active family ready to provide daily exercise, continued training, and plenty of love. She enjoys walks, chewing on her bones, playing tug-of-war, and snuggling up on the couch after a fun-filled day. While she may not be a fan of the cold, she certainly looks adorable in a coat or PJs!
Ongoing Health
Peppy has had entropion surgery and is now in great health. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and on preventatives.
Training & Support
Peppy is learning her basic commands like "sit," "down," and "off" (no jumping!). She's also working on polite leash manners and is making great progress with house-training, which will continue to succeed with consistency and patience. She is crate-trained and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. She is good in the car, but slow introductions are best with other dogs as she gets excited and just wants to play!
