NALA!

Nala is a 9-month-old German Shepherd mix who is incredibly sweet and super friendly with everyone – dogs, kids, and all humans. She was rescued from a kill shelter when she was just five weeks old because she was born with Megaesophagus. This condition means she needs to sit upright for 30 minutes after eating so her food can properly digest, which we fondly call "Nala's snuggle time." She has been managing this routine twice a day since she was a puppy and enjoys the one-on-one attention, often sitting still or falling asleep during this time.

Aside from her special feeding routine, Nala is a normal, happy puppy who is active and loves to play with her siblings. She enjoys cuddling and playing with toys, and has a low to medium energy level. She is already vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and fully house trained.

Ideal Home

Nala would thrive in a home where her special feeding needs can be accommodated. She is friendly with dogs, children, and all humans, making her a great family dog.

Ongoing Health

Nala was born with Megaesophagus, which requires her to remain upright for 30 minutes after each meal. This has been successfully managed since she was a puppy.

Training & Support

Nala is fully house trained and generally well-behaved. Her primary training needs revolve around her feeding routine, which she has adapted to well.
