Vanna

Meet Vanna, a delightful approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a personality to match! Vanna is a true "velcro dog" who thrives on closeness and will be your loyal shadow. She's playful, affectionate, and loves to be by your side, whether you're lounging at home or embarking on an adventure. Vanna has medium energy and enjoys a good game of fetch and walks, and she's a fantastic car companion, making every outing fun. She's also been trusted to roam freely in the house, proving to be non-destructive when she's with her favorite people.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home environment. She's best suited as the only dog in the household. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) without resource guarding issues, she's not a fan of smaller dogs. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries, as she hasn't been around children before.

Ongoing Health

Vanna has experienced significant trauma and is working through some challenges. She has resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people. She is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. She is actively working on negative behaviors around other dogs. With patience and consistency, Vanna has tremendous potential to continue growing.

Transporation

Vanna is currently located with our rescue group. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
