Boone

Boone is an absolutely stunning young dog who came to us as an older puppy from a high-kill shelter. He is now almost 6 years old and weighs 57 lbs of muscle and heart. Boone is a gentleman and a friendly soul. He is energetic but not frenetic, and surprisingly calm for a dog who has spent so long in a shelter. He walks great on a leash and loves being out of his kennel to enjoy time with his person. Boone would make a fantastic hiking companion, as his breed is known for stamina, endurance, and agility. While he can be focused during training, he is mellow and enjoys downtime at home. Boone is a staff favorite, and we are heartbroken he's been with us for so long. He is smart and alert, and will do best in an active home that can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He seems to get along well with other dogs but is not a fan of cats. Boone is hoping for his chance to go home and will be a loyal and wonderful companion. If you're looking for a fun, sweet, active, and incredibly handsome boy, Boone might be the one for you!

Boone is located at Charles Smithgall Humane Society. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes.
