Dewey

Dewey is a smart, active, and affectionate 2-year-old Carolina Dog mix, weighing around 45-50 pounds. He's the perfect companion for anyone who loves the outdoors, whether it's hiking through snowy woods or playing fetch in the yard. Dewey is incredibly intelligent and loves to engage his mind with puzzles and scent games. He's also a devoted companion who enjoys cozy mornings and relaxing by your side.

Ideal Home

Dewey would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who can provide a calm, structured environment. Due to his leash reactivity, a home without young children is recommended. A yard for enrichment and sniffing would be a big plus.

Ongoing Health

Dewey is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is microchipped.

Training & Support

Dewey is crate-trained, house-trained, and food-motivated. He is working on his leash reactivity towards passing dogs, people, and bicycles, and will need an adopter committed to continuing positive reinforcement training and mindful threshold management.
