At 5.5 months old, Macie is a resilient and energetic puppy who survived being abandoned in the cold with her mother and seven siblings. Fortunately, they were rescued and brought into loving foster homes where Macie has thrived. She's a bold, brilliant, and active puppy with an insatiable curiosity and a zest for life. Macie loves to play, especially with other dogs who can keep up with her high energy, and she's always eager to learn and explore.
Ideal Home
Macie is an intelligent and driven herding breed, so she needs a home that understands and can meet the needs of such a dog. Her ideal adopter will be committed to providing her with plenty of activity, training, and enrichment to prevent frustration and nippy behavior. She would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children, and while she enjoys playing with other dogs, finding the right match can be challenging. For out-of-state adopters, placing her as an only pet might be easier. Macie is not a couch potato; she needs an active lifestyle and a purpose to be her happiest self.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped.

Transporation
Macie is currently located in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. Virtual meet-and-greets are available for out-of-town adopters, and transport can be arranged to many states in the Northeast. The adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing, with transports running every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
