Meet Maestro — a 2-year-old, dashing grey purebred Newfoundland who looks like he should be conducting a symphony, but currently panics at the sound of a sneeze. This gentle giant is fully vetted, learning housetraining, and is crate trained. Maestro is slowly discovering what it means to be… well, a dog.
Right now, everything is terrifying: mailboxes, leaves, the sound of toast popping up. But he’s taking notes from the seasoned pros (a.k.a. the other dogs) and making daily progress. We think of it as a “How to Dog 101” crash course, and Maestro’s a very determined student. Maestro is heading out for 2 weeks of intensive board and train, he’s really starting to open up and show his playful side, it’s a joy to witness!
Ideal Home
Maestro is seeking a quiet, patient home where he can first decompress, then begin working on the basics—like sit, stay, and “please don’t panic at your own reflection.” He loves other dogs, and we suspect cats would be like “eh, whatever.” Maestro is a strict believer in yard security: he must have a fully fenced yard because if startled, his inner Olympic sprinter may emerge. Not ideal for households with tiny loud humans (aka toddlers) or very elderly folks, simply because this boy still needs a strong, steady human to help him master leash manners and learn that the world isn’t out to get him.
Ongoing Health
Maestro is fully vetted.
