Solid. Athletic. Loyal. Down for whatever and then happy to crash hard when the days done. Thats JJ. Hes about 4 years old, 75 lbs, and built like the kind of dog who naturally looks right walking next to you.

JJ lives for adventure. Long hikes, fetch marathons, snow days, swimming, sticks in the water, boat rides - you name it, hes there. Tennis balls? Non-negotiable. Shoes come out = hes ready. Hes equally happy to chill after a day of activity, hopping up for a couch snuggle or quietly watching your next move.

JJ clicks fast with men. Instant respect, instant partnership. He thrives on calm, confident leadership, responds incredibly well to structure, and bonds deeply with his person. He's smart, calm, and tuned in, already knowing a solid set of commands. He is gentle-lead trained and comes when called. He is currently fostered with a loving couple, and often times his foster mom feels like a third wheel lol. Once dad is home, he is all about dad! His foster mom works from home, and he hangs at her feet or around the house while she works, patiently waiting for dad to come home.

Home Depot trips? Easy. Neighborhood walks? Loves them. Loud trucks, motorcycles, thunder, fireworks? Doesnt care. Hes calm, confident, and will alert you to new people or dogs and then settle. JJ gets his confidence from his #1! He will trust you to guide him on all of these adventures.

At home, he is fully potty trained and crate trained, so JJ can free-roam without causing trouble. Hes respectful of space, not destructive, doesnt resource guard, and sleeps quietly through the night. Hes affectionate without being pushy, loyal without being clingy. Just a dang good dog.

JJ is currently thriving with a large male Lab best friend and a playful small dog, but hed be just as happy as a one-man, one-dog companion. Hes best suited for an adult home or one with calm older teens; and due to his prey drive, a cat-free home is ideal.

JJ isnt clingy. Hes loyal. Hes not loud. Hes steady. Hes not complicated. Hes solid and perfectly suited to a man looking for a best friend, adventure-ready companion. He walks beside you, watches the yard, jumps in the boat, and chills when its time to relax.

We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!

The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesnt stop there!
