Bam

Bam is a 3-year-old male German Shepherd/American Bully mix with a heart of gold and boundless energy! He was born in September 2022 and joined his current family in December 2022. Bam is a highly intelligent and active boy who absolutely thrives on adventures, whether it's a long run, a brisk walk, or a fun day at the beach. He's been raised with children of all ages, from newborns to older kids, and has proven to be incredibly patient and friendly with everyone he meets. Bam has no history of biting humans and his favorite greeting is to offer you a toy and then snuggle up close.

Ideal Home

Bam would do best in an active household that enjoys outdoor activities. He's looking for a family who understands dogs with separation anxiety, as he can experience some anxiety when left alone, though he is trusted to roam freely in the house for extended periods and is not typically crated. He is a bit of a barker, but is e-collar trained and responds well to corrections. Bam is also a skilled door-opener, so homes with regular door handles on doors and gates will need to be secured to prevent any accidental escapes.

Bam is not yet neutered, but this procedure is planned.

Training & Support

Bam has successfully completed 7 weeks of board and train, mastering commands like sit, down, down stay, place, middle, and heel. He excels when given opportunities to work for treats and would benefit from continued training by someone who appreciates working breeds. He has minimal resource guarding, primarily with his housemate over food and toys, though he often lets his brother take his toys without issue.
