Jimmy is a handsome 1.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix who weighs about 45 pounds. He's currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is ready to find his forever family! Jimmy is a delightful dog with two speeds: full throttle and full snuggle. He's a happy-go-lucky boy who wakes up ready to make friends with everyone, human and canine alike. You can count on Jimmy to be the first to greet new people with a tail wagging at warp speed! He's playful, curious, and full of life, always eager for a game of tag, tug-of-war, or a friendly wrestle with a dog buddy.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he receives plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. A yard would be a bonus, but what truly matters is engagement and companionship. He would love a work-from-home human or an active family who will include him in their daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially if they enjoy high-energy play. Jimmy is friendly and social with older children and would likely do well with respectful youngsters. He may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision. He has not been tested with cats but may chase at this stage.

Training & Support
Jimmy is still working on his leash manners and can pull when excited due to his curiosity about the world around him. With consistency and some solo walks, he will continue to improve quickly, as he is very food and praise-motivated and eager to learn. Crate training is a work in progress, but he is making great strides and beginning to see it as a safe space. He is fully house-trained with only minor early adjustment issues. He has no resource guarding, though he does think every toy is the best toy! Jimmy can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog companion.

Jimmy is currently located in Texas. He can be transported to a city once an adopter is matched. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
