Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came from a difficult past. She's a big girl with an even bigger heart, incredibly sweet but still a little unsure of the world. Raquel wants to trust and is trying her best to navigate new experiences. While she may need a moment to process new things, she's not stuck and is making steady progress every day. She's gaining confidence and is well past her initial shyness. With the right guidance and a patient approach, Raquel will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Raquel will be a large dog, likely well over 100 pounds when fully grown, so she needs a home prepared for her size. A securely fenced yard is required. Because she startles easily and is still building confidence, we recommend a home with children over 10. A confident, friendly dog in the home would be a huge help for Raquel, providing her with a steady example to follow and learn from. She is also fine with cats.
