Athena, a 1-year-old Terrier mix weighing approximately 35 pounds, is a bundle of playful energy and affection! She was found with her siblings abandoned in the woods, a testament to her resilience and readiness for a loving home. Athena is a bright and curious pup who is catching up on classic puppy stages with enthusiasm. She adores playing with other dogs of all sizes and thrives on social interaction, making her a great candidate for a home with a canine companion. While she is still in a chewing phase, with plenty of appropriate toys and consistent guidance, she's learning to manage her puppy behaviors. Athena is smart, eager to please, and already knows basic commands like sit, down, drop it, and come. She's a joy to watch as she matures, bringing zoomies and lots of love to her foster home.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily physical exercise and mental enrichment, appropriate chew toys, and continued training and structure. She also benefits from social interaction and companionship. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she hasn't been tested with cats and would likely try to engage them in play. A cat-savvy home with slow introductions might work, or a home without cats would be ideal.
