Hope is a gentle soul who truly blossoms with a little encouragement in the form of treats and kind words. Once she realizes you're a friend, her sweet, affectionate personality shines through. She adores receiving belly rubs and is happiest simply being near her people, soaking up love at her own pace. Treats are her absolute favorite, and she'll happily show off her well-mannered ways for a tasty reward. While she enjoys playing with toys, Hope is more of a laid-back, relaxed girl than a boisterous one. She walks nicely on a leash and would be content with a few pleasant strolls a day, followed by long, cozy naps.
Ideal Home
Hope would thrive in a home where she can feel safe and comfortable. She's a quiet, calm, and low-key lady, making her a great candidate for an apartment, provided she gets regular walks and enrichment. She could be happy as an only dog or with a low-energy, respectful canine companion who understands personal space. While she tolerated a cat during testing, further assessment in a home environment would be needed. Due to her appreciation for personal space, she would be best with older children who understand boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Hope is believed to be around six years old and weighs approximately 51 pounds. She is generally healthy, and all necessary vetting is included in her adoption fee.
Training & Support
Hope is a treat-motivated learner and will happily practice her manners for a reward. She walks nicely on a leash. While she can be a bit aloof with other dogs initially, she coexists calmly, tolerating them without issue.
