Sandy

Meet Sandy, a very sweet and gentle German Shepherd mix who was found wandering and brought to safety. After checking for a microchip and searching for her family with no success, we're now looking for her forever home! Sandy is a happy girl who enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine playmate to romp with. She knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is eager to please, especially when treats are involved – a family that will continue her training would be wonderful! Sandy is very affectionate and loves to be close to her people, enjoying pets and car rides with the wind in her face.

Ideal Home

Sandy would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a securely fenced yard.

Ongoing Health

Sandy has been to the vet for a check-up, received her vaccines, and is heartworm negative. She received a clean bill of health and was great being handled by the vet and vet techs after an initial moment of nervousness.

Training & Support

Sandy is potty trained and knows her basic commands. She enjoys training for food and would benefit from a family that will continue to build on her skills.

Sandy is located in Winston Salem. Blue Moon Shepherd Rescue only adopts to applicants in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
