Athena is a 1-year-old Terrier mix, weighing approximately 35 pounds. She's a playful, curious, and affectionate young dog who loves to be involved in everything her people are doing. Athena and her siblings were found abandoned in the woods, but she's come a long way in foster care, showing great maturity while still embracing her youthful exuberance. She's a smart girl with lots of personality, prone to zoomies and still navigating some classic puppy behaviors, like chewing. Athena thrives on social interaction and absolutely loves playing with other dogs of all sizes, showing a particular fondness for smaller dogs. She's eager to learn and is already mastering basic commands like "sit," "down," "drop it," and "come."
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily physical exercise and mental enrichment, appropriate chew toys, and continued training and socialization. A family that understands puppy behavior and is committed to providing patience and consistency as she matures would be a perfect fit. While she enjoys interacting with other dogs, a home without cats may be ideal, as she hasn't been tested with them and might try to engage them in play similarly to how she does with dogs.

Athena is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is currently in good health.
Training & Support
Athena is learning quickly and knows several commands, including sit, down, drop it, and come. She is still working through normal puppy chewing behaviors and will need continued guidance, patience, and appropriate chew toys. She is also learning social boundaries with other dogs and improves daily at reading their cues.
