Say hello to Mimi, an 86-pound, 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with excellent eyeliner, excellent manners, and a deeply held belief that petting her is a public service. Mimi is gentle, sweet, and wonderful with people. She is very well-mannered in the house, walks nicely on a leash, and is not an overly active dog. She can absolutely summon a burst of energy when the mood strikes, but her preferred setting is relaxed, watchful, and available for affection. She is here for the petting. Please plan accordingly.
Like many flock guardian types, Mimi is thoughtful, observant, independent, and quietly capable of plotting her next move. We do not know exactly what she is mixed with, but the Pyrenees traits are hard to miss. She is watchful without being frantic, affectionate without being needy, and smart enough that you should assume she has read the room before you have. Mimi is a lovely dog for someone who wants a sweet, steady, beautiful companion with a little independence, a lot of softness, and just enough scheming to keep life interesting.
Ideal Home
Mimi needs a securely fenced yard and a home that appreciates a big, gentle guardian-type dog with feelings. She is not a good match for cats, tiny dogs, or small animals.
