Meet Nancy! This gentle and sensitive girl came to us with her buddy, Mike. While we don't know their full history, Nancy has shown us that she can be a little nervous around new dogs and people. She’d love to meet potential canine friends and prefers strangers to greet her slowly. Nancy can also be unsure around fast movements or high-energy play, as these can be overwhelming for her. She’s looking for a patient family who can understand her initial uneasiness.
Once Nancy feels comfortable, her sweet personality truly blossoms! She adores gentle affection, happily wiggles into laps, and is always eager for a tasty snack. With patience, soft handling, and a calm environment, Nancy will undoubtedly make a wonderfully loving companion. Her foster family, consisting of one adult, two older kids, cats, and a dog, absolutely loved her! They noted she enjoys chew toys, tug of war, and tennis balls. She’s still working on potty training but is good in her crate and knows how to sit on command. Her foster mom shared, "Nancy is so loving and wants to be close to people and get tons of cuddles and pets. She is very sweet and can be gentle. She also can get excited and jump up, but is protective of her people and loves to be around and play with other dogs and 'her' cats!"
