Paxton (Foster-to-Adopt)

Paxton is a wonderfully loving and snuggly goofball looking for his forever family! He's a big, strong boy who would thrive with a family who has some dog experience and can handle his size. Paxton's only challenge is his leash reactivity, likely stemming from a past trauma. He's made incredible progress with our training team, but he'll need a patient and understanding home to continue his journey. Once that leash is off, he's all about belly rubs, squeaky toys, and tasty snacks! Paxton is eager to be your best friend and will make a handsome addition to your home.

Ideal Home

A family with some dog experience who can handle a big, strong dog and is willing to continue working on leash reactivity.

Ongoing Health

Paxton is currently undergoing training and care and will be ready for formal adoption once this is complete.

Training & Support

Paxton is not a fan of leashes and may have had a traumatic experience in the past. He has made significant progress with a training team but will require continued work and patience in his new home.

• An application must be completed prior to a meet-and-greet.
• Adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis; we strive for the best match.

• Adoption fee is $175.
• A vet reference is required.
• A trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption.

Transportation

Paxton is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Fosters are generally able to consider families within a reasonable driving distance.
