About Sheila

Sheila is a bright, sensitive girl who truly blossoms once she feels safe. After spending time in a foster home, she showed just how much potential she has to be an incredible companion. Every day brought a little more confidence, a little more personality, and a lot more smiles.

One of Sheila's biggest strengths is how connected she is to her person. She is highly food-motivated, eager to learn, and loves working alongside someone she trusts. She has wonderful leash manners, enjoys exploring the outdoors, and is happiest rolling in the grass, lounging in the sunshine, or playing with her favorite toys. She also rides calmly in the car, settles well in a crate, and has excellent house manners overall. In the home, Sheila was affectionate, playful, and increasingly comfortable as she settled into her routine. She enjoys being outside, loves toys of all kinds, and has a goofy side that emerges once she feels secure. Sheila has already made tremendous progress and continues to show that she is capable of learning and adapting when given patience and understanding. If you're looking for a loyal companion and are willing to invest a little time helping her grow, Sheila may be the perfect match for you. Thanks to a generous sponsor, Sheila's adoption fee has already been paid.

Ideal Home

Sheila would likely do best in a quieter home with older children or adults.

No specific health conditions mentioned.

Training & Support

Sheila is still working on her confidence around unfamiliar people and other dogs. She can be fearful in new situations and will need an adopter who is willing to move at her pace, continue positive reinforcement training, and help her feel safe as she adjusts.
