Trout

Meet Trout! This handsome guy ended up on the euthanasia list at a local shelter, but thankfully, his foster mom stepped in and saved his life. We're all lucky she did, because Trout is a truly special dog.

Trout might look like a high-energy athlete, but he's surprisingly chill. He enjoys hikes and playtime with his dog friends, but his favorite activity is flopping on the couch for peak relaxation. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, needing a few moments to warm up. Once he trusts you, he'll be your loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Trout dreams of a home that includes him in life's adventures, like camping trips and lazy evenings by the fire. He gets along well with other dogs but has a strong interest in squirrels and cats, so a home without felines is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for his new home in mid-to-late July. He is fully vetted, neutered, and up-to-date on preventatives.

Training & Support

Trout is kennel-trained, potty-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and knows "sit." He can be quite clever and absolutely despises taking medicine, often finding ways to spit it out.
