Meet Ms. Poppy! This sweet and unique girl is about 3 years old, weighs 12 lbs, and sports a striking coat of white and gray. One of her eyes has long, dark eyelashes, while the other has delicate white ones, adding to her distinctive charm! Poppy is a Lhasa/Maltese mix, though her exact breed is a bit of a mystery due to a recent haircut.
Sadly, Poppy was found injured by the side of the road after being hit by a car. A kind individual rescued her and brought her to the shelter. She sustained a broken pelvis, but she's on the mend and expected to make a full recovery. Poppy is anticipated to be ready for her forever home around May 10th-17th.
Poppy's personality is still blossoming as she's on cage rest, but one thing is for sure: she's full of life! Even with her healing pelvis, she's eager to walk and even run, though we do our best to gently guide her. She showers us with kisses and is ready to play! Poppy isn't a fan of being left alone in her crate and will make her feelings known, but otherwise, she's quiet and happy. She adores other dogs and would absolutely thrive with a canine companion!
Ideal Home
Poppy would do best in an active home that can keep up with her playful spirit. She would love to have another dog to share her life with or would be a devoted companion for an active individual. Due to her energetic nature, we don't believe Poppy would be a good fit for a senior home.
Ongoing Health
