Cornbread

Meet Cornbread! This sweet 3-month-old puppy is already quite the chunk, nearly as big as his mom who only weighs about 12 pounds! Cornbread and his mother were found without any siblings at the Weslaco shelter in deep South Texas. We're not sure who dad was, but we suspect he might have been in the 20-25 pound range, given Cornbread's impressive size already. It's hard to believe this little guy is only a couple of months old with how quickly he's growing, but one thing is for sure: Cornbread is an absolute sweetheart.

Ideal Home

Cornbread would do wonderfully in a family with children or with an active home that can provide the exercise, structure, and affection every growing puppy needs.

Ongoing Health

All adopted dogs receive Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate), all core vaccines (age-appropriate), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, regular de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. Please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease, as it's endemic in the south.

Training & Support

Cornbread is currently thriving in a wonderful foster home, where he's doing great with all the basics and soaking up love and guidance.
